I'm Spartacus!

Jeffrey Pelt to Jack Ryan in the movie 'The Hunt For Red October':

"Listen, I'm a politician, which means I'm a cheat and a liar, and when I'm not kissing babies, I'm stealing their lollipops.
"But it also means I keep my options open."

Democrat Senator Harry Reid said to CNN when they asked him about lying regarding Candidate Mitt Romney not paying his taxes:

"Romney didn't win, did he?"

Politicians in America now serve us with their hands full.
In one hand, they have a carrot and a stick.
In the other hand, they have a big bag full of money.

For the carrot and the stick, they hold out that carrot to the American people and try to move them to their causes. It might be trying to fix healthcare. They have been talking about immigration for years, like DACA for example, and have done pretty much nothing. You can forget about DC doing a budget. It is only continuing resolutions, continuing the prove the fact that they cannot actually get anything done. Always at the last minute. Always right before a break. Always urgent that they wait. Democrats twist arms in the back rooms to vote as a block, Republicans are blockhead idiots that fight in public and cannot get out of their own way. Both political factions have their crazy extremist edges, but most of us sit here close to the middle ground of all of this and just getting screwed by politicians looking out for themselves.

BUT, if you elect these politicians again, they say THIS TIME they are going to do their job to their fullest. "Trust me."

That big bag of money in their other hand? They try to hide that from you, but they just can't. They keep tipping it over asking you to put a little bit more of YOUR money into it. Meanwhile, they keep the gold bars and fancy cars for themselves. They don't lean over to help anyone so the gold bars don't fall out of their jacket pockets. They take that money you give them and they give it to their best friends in the world, the media. The media works to whip up more frenzy with their "molding" of reporting. The media then bombards us with more begging for money for these poor politicians. The media loves the commercials with candidates begging you for money because they know the candidates will hand over that money to the media, making the media moguls even richer.

At this time in politics, you have to assume that pretty much all politicians are liars.
Most especially, the ones that are "experienced" seem to be the worst.

DO NOT GIVE POLITICIANS MONEY.
Keep if for yourself because you need it worse than they do.

STARVE THE MEDIA.
Politics and media is a money making scheme.
Hold the media accountable so they check sources and provide factual new stories.
America needs campaign finance reform. A candidate's ideas should be the the focus, not money.

Media always gets their political ad money up front. That should tell you something.
Even the media moguls don't trust politicians to do what they say, so they get their money first.

We need less negative ad bombardment, and people seeking office get out themselves and work to win over votes.
Make politicians and the media work harder and do their jobs.

"COEXISTING" starts at home. Those of us in the middle, we are all Spartacus.
Instead of the fringe people yelling at us, we need to talk to each other again.
Don't confront me with generalities, convince me with your solutions.

Those of us in the middle, we are all Spartacus.
